Calcium Chloride prills
Calcium Chloride Prills are widely utilized for road surfacing, de-icing & de-freezing, and as a sequestrant in the food industry. They have molecular formula CaCl2 with the molar mass of 110.98 g/mol. These prills appear as white colored solid with hygroscopic property and odorless nature. They are highly water-soluble in nature and also serve as the desiccant. With E number E509, Calcium Chloride Prills are utilized as a firming agent in various food preparations. They can also correct mineral deficiencies in brewing beer and maintain the proper balance between calcium & protein in cheesemaking. These prills show the density of 2.15 g/cm3 in anhydrous form with the boiling point of around 1935 degrees Celsius.
